How To Make Vanilla Oreo Ice Cream
Add the sugar and milk together in a bowl and gently whisk until the sugar is dissolved.
Then add the cream and vanilla extract and give it an easy whisk again. You just want to combine the ingredients, not beat the mixture. We don’t want whipped cream.
Put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Next, add the mixture to your ice cream maker and while it’s freezing your ice cream, chop the Oreo cookies to your preferred size. Personally, I don’t like them too small, which is why I chop the cookies with a knife instead of using the blender. Part of this ice cream is for me the chunks of Oreo that crunch in my mouth when I eat them.
Finally, when the ice cream is ready, fold in the chopped Oreo cookies. Keep a bit for decoration on top. Depending on what you prefer – put it in the freezer to harden more or eat it right away.
Enjoy!
Tips
- I like to add the vanilla extract because it gives that little extra touch in taste. I know some people don’t like it and this recipe will work perfectly without.
